The Dutch Public Prosecution Service did receive a tip about a Dutch individual who chatted with a Swede regarding plans for a terrorist attack on the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, but ultimately decided not to prosecute him due to a lack of malicious intent and the individual's personal issues. Though there was a communication lapse, with initial claims that no information had been shared, it was revealed that the information from Luxembourg was informally provided, and the risk had subsided by the time it was received.
