Jose Adolfo Macias, known as Fito, a notorious leader of the Ecuadorian gang Los Choneros, has left prison and is on his way to the United States to face charges of drug and weapons trafficking after agreeing to extradition. His attorney has confirmed that Fito will plead not guilty in federal court in Brooklyn, following his recent arrest and previous escape from a high-security prison.
