A data leak from the British Ministry of Defence has resulted in personal information, including that of British spies and commandos, falling into the wrong hands, stemming from a 2022 incident where a confidential spreadsheet about Afghan allies was mistakenly sent to the wrong email address. In response, the UK government initiated a secret program to relocate Afghan individuals fearing Taliban retaliation, with significant costs estimated at over three billion euros, and Defense Minister Healy has since apologized for the incident.
